That was a long strange weekend. Friday, I got a call that my LOL was in the hospital - and not expected to leave. After hospital visits on Friday and Saturday, I went and emceed a Dr. Sketchy, which induced some cognitive dissonance. Then, her family called early Sunday to say that she had died on Saturday night.
Well...she didn't have to go live in the hospital wing; her family and friends got to say goodbye; at the end, a picture of her husband was tucked up in her hospital bed with her.
Here she was in happier days, when she still lived in her flat in Stokes Valley and had her cat Tyger. Who is hopefully waiting for her where she is going.

Me? I'm OK; I shed my tears on Sunday morning and then, fortunately, spent the day in the company of friends. Planning a little break from volunteering, until the end of October.

It makes me sad to hear about her passing, but I'm glad she did not have to go and live in the hospital wing.
Thank you for sharing the photo!
