Oh dear. Oh dear. My recently-troublesome neighbors have obviously just finished one of the new rooms in their house extension. I went into my kitchen after dark. The new room, lit up in the night, is a bathroom. With a shower. Without any curtains, but with the owner of the house enjoying his new amenity. Perfectly framed, as it were.

I think it's one of those whole room showers. I hear they're really nice. No wonder he was just, you know, lingering... stretching... relaxing...

Have fled to the living room, leaving the light on in the kitchen, and hoping that clues are acquired/some window treatment appears soon.

I can't decide whether I think this is funny or not! Yes, it must be since I'm laughing.

Well, I suppose it serves them right for being troublesome. But you certainly don't deserve such a view. Unless they're troublesomely attractive.

Could you train your cat to sit in the kitchen and stare at him while he's enjoying his shower?

My cat already WAS sitting on the table staring at him. It's like you were there with us!

If I was, it would be the first such view I've had in quite a while!

You could mail them a photo taken from your window. Or does that make you stalker?

Yes, that definitely puts me in stalker territory!

The window is in the line of sight of 2 other neighbors. I'll wait a few days and see what happens.

We had a neighbor who did that at our old house. They put their bathroom, with a nice large window, facing our kitchen, with a nice large sliding glass door. Make some noise and get his attention. Whistling raunchily helps. Perhaps this will persuade him to invest in some curtains.

Also, I just love those room showers. My parents have a half on with a partition somewhat closing it off from the rest of the bathroom. Very nice.

I'm pretty sure he'd be mortified if he knew I'd seen him disporting himself at length in the shower, so I'll wait a few days and see if the clue penny's dropped. It's about 50 feet away, too far for hoots and hollers to carry!

There's always the air horn~
I'm sure he's got to notice sooner or later. Either that or... he wants to be peeked upon.

ROFL, you know it could be worse. My ex would have thought this to be a great idea. He would have loved to have been your neighbour. (and I am serious!) To him it is the ultimate form of exhibitionism on a backgarden scale.
When together I had many conversations about this (usually ending with fights) that this would be rather intrusive and in bad taste. It also shows a clear lack of respect for the privacy of other people. I would give them a week or so. It may well be that he was just so eager to try out his new shower that he did not care for once.
If they don't change them I would politely point out the line of view and the fact that you are clearly unhappy with it.
I take it he does not have a divine body to swoon over. Besides even if he did it is just plain rude.
Still sorry to say the story is highly entertaining!

I didn't find it titillating, no. It brought out my inner six-year-old: "BWAH HAH HAH! I saw your BUTT!"

I agree about waiting a week or so. Hopefully, then, I won't see!

That's just priceless! Although I do feel for you, being unwittingly exposed to such a scene!

Maybe you could drop a subtle hint next time you speak to them in passing? Or do you not really speak to them at the moment?

I'm going to wait a week and see what happens...three other neighbors also have a lovely view of this window!

Oh goodness! well, I'm sure if one or more of them get an eyeful as well you won't have to wait a week for the curtains to go up!

Ick! Here's hoping the window treatment appears soon!

Himring's got a glass brick window int he bathroom, and it's great. It lets plenty of light in, but you can't actually see anything through it. I wonder why your neighbors didn't use glass brick or frosted glass for their bathroom window, since (being a new addition) they could have customized it in any way they liked?

You have that because you're a person of taste and discrimination! Unlike them...
