Very Mercury Retrograde
Apr. 30th, 2003 04:29 pmI’m a touch depressed because I have put a writing project on hold – that essay about Tolkien and the Arts and Crafts influence on his works. I took back 6 overdue Arts and Crafts library books, after taking notes from only about half of them.
It’s looking increasingly unlikely that I’ll get any substantial writing done before I go on my trip, and my trip is a long one. (This coming weekend, I will be hunting down inexpensive gifts for my family.) However, it’s highly probable that I will fling myself into writing upon my return. Whatever I decide about staying in NZ or moving back to the US, it’s not going to happen until December, and I’ll be returning at the official start of winter. Winter in Auckland, as I have observed before, is dull and rainy, and workplaces tend to be busy. Some escapism will be in order.
