More LOL Noms
Jan. 19th, 2010 08:33 pmJust had my LOL over for dinner at my place. There's a method to the madness: her flat is all packed up. She's going to visit her son tomorrow, and when she comes back, her family will have moved her everything into the new flat at the retirement center in Naenae. She's excited and nervous and sad, and very worried about her cat. We talked about cat beds, strategizing the best possible cat bed for her cat, and reviewing my cat Northey's many sleeping options. Goodness, Northey is spoiled.
Noms for the LOL this time: parmesan breaded chicken breast (oven baked for lower fat goodness), broccoli, and the world's smallest baked potatoes. Dessert was home-made vanilla bean ice cream with home-made caramel sauce - her flavor request was "caramel". There were also a few fresh raspberries. Sounds Lucullan, no? But the LOL eats these things as they should be eaten, in doll-sized portions.
Working very, very hard at work on a large dull job, which has to be presentable by next Tuesday, and thrashing myself at the gym. I feel flat and mopey, for all that my core muscles are firming up.
