I'm Just An Old Fashioned Girl
Aug. 30th, 2008 05:22 pmAt the age of 37, I still have the bad habit of heaping up clothes on top of my dresser. To try and break myself of this, last week, I bought a modest Depression glass dresser set, at a modest price, and put it on top of that dresser. This is to force myself to stop doing this, the same way that tweenage girls are given permission to use nail polish so that they'll stop biting their nails.
It seems to be working so far. In fact, under the crystalline regard of these almost-antique pieces, I'm keeping the whole bedroom tidier.
Also, any dames out there feeling bad/insecure about growing older? Check out the photos of this Playboy bunny reunion and see what real, normally lovely women, instead of hypermaintained celebrities, look like with a bit of mileage, and with smiles and hugs all around.
